When you think of a barn, if you picture corrals of farm animals and overalls worn to get dirty, you need to think outside the box (err, pig pen?). This converted masterpiece couldn't be further from aGreen Acres-like setting — but it certainly would have turned Zsa Zsa onto farm living. Dating back to 1740, the renovated English-style structure in Sagaponack, New York is a rustic treasure.
After you drive up the winding driveway and enter through private gates you'll see what appears to be a rather humble exterior. You might then spy the heated swimming pool with a waterfall, outdoor shower, or guest cottage. But the best is still yet to come: Just inside the front doors is a sun-drenched great room with vaulted ceilings that expose the original beams, offering a super stylish way to showcase the home's history.
The rest of the decor is relatively simple: White walls, rustic fireplaces, and vintage signs (well, maybe the chef throwing up an A-ok sign is a little unexpected). Stone flooring in the kitchen continues the rural charm at full throttle and is another element of bringing outside inspiration to the interior design.
